Ammonia
Ammonia serves as the primary raw material in the production of nitrogen fertilisers such as urea, DAP, and ammonium nitrate, which form the foundation of modern agriculture. Additionally, it plays a critical role in numerous industrial sectors. This compound, preferred as a highly efficient refrigerant in industrial plants and large-scale cold storage facilities, is central to the production of nitric acid, plastics, paints and synthetic fibres in the chemical industry.
Furthermore, ammonia, used to increase disinfection efficiency in water treatment processes, manage thermal treatment processes in metallurgy, and neutralise harmful emission gases in power plants, ensures the continuity of the production chain as a strategic industrial input.
Usage Areas
- Production of nitrogen fertilisers (urea, ammonium sulphate, etc.)
- Chemical industry and chemical synthesis processes
- Industrial cooling systems (refrigerant)
- Production of cleaning and process chemicals
- Textile, plastic and various industrial production lines
